Gold
the gold in his eyes
pulls me in
and when I think
when I think
I'm about to fall in
smoky lashes close
and open
then
and then
I am pulled in again
and all is lost for me and I think
I think
I must flow with the golden undercurrent
or else
else
I might die because I can't breathe
when I am gasping for air trying to fight
the golden undercurrent
that continuously pulls me in
deeper and deeper every time.

Sun don't shine on the same dog's tail all the time.

Southern Sayings
- Gone back on your raisin. (Denying your heritage)
- Get the short end of the stick. (Treated unfairly)
- Either fish or cut bait. (Do something or get out of the way)
- Don't count your chickens until they hatch. (don't anticipate something, unless you know for sure)
- Don't let the tail wag the dog. (Don't let someone else control what is yours)
- Barking up the wrong tree. (Accusing the wrong person)
- Scared as a cat at the dog pound. (Do I have to clarify?)
- He couldn't find his ass with a flashlight in each hand. (Dumb)
- The wheels still turning, but the hamster's dead. (Person doesn't understand)
- As bad-off as a rubber-nosed woodpecker in a petrified forest

5 Things/ People That Make Me Happy
Above all else, my top favorite people/things are my family, living an adventurous life, having a generous heart, my friends, and my very existence and breathe of life. Considering that, there are other things that give me joy and can easily be placed on my favorite things list.

Night
I can only bow in its presence, humble myself in its depths, its vastness. Mysterious and inviting, it conceals with its beauty, sometimes the horrid, strange, unusual, yet it bestows a moonlight beauty on all that basks in its shadows. I do fear what night brings, yet I anticipate its dangers. The excitement of never knowing what lurks in the shadows gives me an adrenaline rush. Not everything that the night holds is dangerous, there is beauty with darkness; the nocturnal creatures, the owls, wolves, bats, insects, all living, surviving and breathing in the night. Unlike other people, I can say that I see clearly in the night. I prefer the night.

My insight into other worlds. Books have always appealed to me. They comfort my soul, warm my heart, open my mind, and at times, they break my heart. Sometime the only company that I prefer is a hardcover with a spine, with words for wisdom or entertainment. Not many people can say the best place to be is in a library, but I can. I find me in books, I find resolve, I find stimulation, I find a world through another person's eyes, and this most people take for granted, especially those who as a children have been fortunate enough to travel. But not all young minds have been able to see the world, and for the unfortunate, the deprived, a book is the world.
Flying
It has been a long while since I have completed a lesson. Funds have halted my progress, but learning to fly, having control of a powerful machine, having your life in your hands, roaming the skies, and attempting that landing, is nothing less than pure exhilaration.

My childhood memories
I didn't have a great childhood. Actually is sucked monkey balls, but there are a few memories that I hold dear, and they remind me of the good times, and the people that I held so dear. When I think of my grandmother, and being a child, and smelling her delicious food, or hiding behind the folds of her robe, or her comforting hold, I can't help but smile, even if it only reaches my eyes.
Vamp

Anyone who knows me, knows of my infatuation with vampires. It is not a recent thing brought on by the True Blood or Twilight fad. It is something that I have always loved. Give me a mythical creature to choose, and I will without fail say a vampire. They are sexy, mysterious, and at times sweet or downright ugly to their souls or lack thereof, but they are attr
active however they are portrayed
in music, books, art, and movies.
